Short answer: between $750 and $3,000 a month if someone else does it, or about ten hours of your own week if you do. What matters more than the number is what it buys, because social media is not where roofing jobs come from.
Published prices in 2026 run from $99 to $149 a month for productised posting tools that schedule what you give them, through $750 to $1,550 for agencies that make the posts and short videos, to $2,000 to $4,000 for full-service roofing agencies bundling ads, SEO and a site. Most roofing agencies do not publish prices at all; of twenty listed in one directory this year, two did.
Trust, not leads. The best roofing marketers say it plainly: social is not a primary lead channel. Homeowners find you on Google, from a neighbour, or after a storm, and then they look at your page before they call. A page that is alive and specific closes that gap; a page with a post from March opens it. So the spend is justified by what happens after the click: reviews, a complete Google Business Profile, and a phone that gets answered.
Before-and-afters, storm-timed posts, a crew day-in-the-life under a minute, phone-shot testimonials. Stock imagery and generic family-owned copy get nothing. Owner on camera measurably cuts the cost of a lead in paid campaigns. If you will not film, pay someone who can make it real from your job photos and your voice.
A complete Google Business Profile gets 70% more visits (Google), and 88% of consumers will use a business that replies to its reviews against 47% for one that doesn't (BrightLocal). This is cheap to add to a posting service, because the posts already exist, and it is where the calls come from.
Inquiries typically start thirty to sixty days in, after eight to twelve videos. Judge the spend on calls, form fills and reviews gained, never on likes. If your provider cannot report those, that is your answer.
| Company | Sensible monthly spend | What it should include |
|---|---|---|
| Owner plus a crew, under $1M | $750–1,000 | Weekly video, profile posts, review requests |
| $1–3M, an office person | $1,500–2,000 | Three videos a week, TikTok and YouTube, profile management, review replies |
| $3M and up | $3,000+ | Daily posts, a brand character, answering and follow-up, a report someone reads |
